
Paraffin Testing

Cold Finger
Used to evaluate a crude oil's tendency to form wax deposits under controlled conditions. By simulating the temperature difference between warm flowing crude and a colder pipe surface, the test measures how much wax deposits over time and how effectively a wax inhibitor can reduce that buildup.

Gas Chromatography
An analytical technique used to identify and quantify the individual components within a sample. GC testing provides detailed compositional data for hydrocarbons, solvents, fuels, and other chemical products, helping operators better understand fluid properties and production challenges.



Differential Scale Calorimetry
A thermal analysis technique used to measure how a sample responds to changes in temperature. DSC is commonly used to identify wax appearance temperatures (WAT), evaluate wax content, and understand the thermal behavior of crude oils.
